Not much has been happening, but no news is good news, yes? I was quite shocked recently to hear that an old classmate's daughter was diagnosed with stage-4 cancer. She's barely 4 years old. It was sadder still hearing from friends about how their marriage had broken up even before the daughter was born, and of how the single mother is attempting to raise so much money all at once for overseas treatment, and that the treatment will only give her a 40% chance of survival. But according to a doctor friend, apparently stage-4 cancer is a death sentence. There is pretty much no recovery from that stage of cancer. This means that the little girl is just a dead man walking right now. If treatment is effective, then its just a matter of prolonging an already sick life by a matter of years. Half a mil is a lot of money but I guess it buys the idea of hope, rather than a full cure. Maybe the hope of total recovery is priceless, and worth much more than half a mil, which is really just... Honestly speaking, if I don't try to blog often and practise my writing skills, sooner or later my language will go downhill. It is gonna be a tight month for me cos I just paid my school fees. Well, I've deferred last semester & is going to resume this month. I will have to plan my spending WISELY & hopefully I can do it. With all the GSS going on & new shopping malls (Orchard Central & ION), this is going to be a challenge that I have to overcome =X I just tabulated the number of overtime for June & it amount to 79 hours! Just overtime alone (not including normal working hours) it has exceeded the maximum 72 hours stated in the HR policy. Despite telling myself that I will have lotsa ka-ching on 24th, I would love to convert the $ into more time with my family + friends. Gee, I know, I'm still in office and I'm rostered to come back to work tomorrow (Saturday). It sucks! I wish I could have more time on my own...

I just cant cure my habit of buying high heeled shoes. Just today, shoes that my colleagues and me ordered from Victoria Secret arrived at our office. WE WERE ALL SQUEALING LIKE LITTLE GIRLS!!! :) Okay here's mine I was so excited .... macam dapat christmas present gitu. :D And mind you, this is 4 inches. Dont know if its a big deal to you. HAHA BUT ISNT IT NICE! WORTH MY $37 SIAAA. And to prove my status of being a shoe-holic, i bought this wedges from C&K just last week. I was deciding against buying it cause it doesnt have any back strap and I know it hurts your leg more but wth, I was tempted by the height and the neutral beautiful colors. Also, I already ordered the VS shoes. I know sugarrush got pissed off that I couldnt decide if I wanted to buy it or not. Heh. Sorry love. You know how I fickle minded I am :X Ah.
